Okay....so I dragged my hub 4 hours to St. Louis to see T's.
We got the exact seat we would have dreamed of (okay..well...if I could pass for 16, I would have gotten into the "pit" but for adults, we got the best seats...lol).
And it was incredible. I mean, to be honest, so often in person I find performers a bit of letdown..they can't fill in all the back music,etc...and they just don't capture my soul like they did on CD/mp3.
But not these guys..omg. I totally sat there staring the entire time....would have gotten up and danced if all the fogies around me weren' just sitting there. And while I felt a bit old to be gawking and drooling and totally caught up in every movement of Tom and his crew....I have to tell you..I asked the moms on either side of me where their kids were (because they were older than me..maybe 50?...and I figured they had to have teens on the floor in front of us). Nope. They came alone!!!
And their kids at home were teasing them..calling them cougars, etc. And I do wonder if the band hates having us old women in their audience..but hey...we download tunes too!
I don't care. I sure wouldn't turn down some time alone with Tom. lol. BUt I've listened to his songs enough to know he'd regret it. lol. ;)
In any case...if anyone hasn't SEEN them in person...get off your butt and DO it. I'll see them again if they make it closer..maybe Iowa City or Cedar Falls? lol. Even Des Moines.
And the nice small venues are SOOO awesome. Big hugs guys!
